How much do these sell for used? I can't find them anywhere. Do they even sell? Should I use it as a boat anchor?
I am trying to sell an 02, but I don't what it's worth. What did you pay?
Dont worry, I dont get it either. Sooo, Im thinking your best option is an anchor. What kind of ship? I dont think it will hold an aircraft carrier, but its probably good to hold a destroyer or something like that.wait what?
are you really selling one? email me at william.kirk@gmail.comI am trying to sell an 02, but I don't what it's worth. What did you pay?
That monster t was one of the greatest forks, i am actually planning on running the 02 monster i have sitting around this year for the dh season. Definately a great fork...go for it
The 2002 and older Monsters were much lighter than that, somewhere around 7-8 from memory. No lightweight for sure but for some people that feeling of indestructability they provide was just what they wanted.True, it's a great fork, but 12 lbs? Then again, that's the weight of a FOES fork too...
170-175mm, I can't remember exactly, something like that.I stand corrected! How much travel did the 2002 have?
it's not 12 lbs i just put mine on the scale it and it it was 8.9...True, it's a great fork, but 12 lbs? Then again, that's the weight of a FOES fork too...
175 is my recollection.170-175mm, I can't remember exactly, something like that.
175 is correct...175 is my recollection.
i rocked one on my old Canfield F1, and it felt great with the Avy in the back. sure wasn't a light bike, however.
(pre-avy
I agree about the $225 price. There isn't a huge demand for this kind of fork because people realize skill makes up for massive travel, but there is always someone who insists they need 10+ inches because they go "big".Last one I saw on ebay went for $220 I think. I paid $350 for my frame/fork/cranks/stem/headset/guide/derailleur off CL last week.
'03 GT DHi frame, '02 Monster T, GT Stem, Pig DH headset, MRP DHi guide, Truvativ Hussefelt cranks, XTR rear derailleur.
Figure the fork was $50 for mine.
This statement makes no sense in this thread.I agree about the $225 price. There isn't a huge demand for this kind of fork because people realize skill makes up for massive travel, but there is always someone who insists they need 10+ inches because they go "big".
At about 9 pounds, it works well for me. I'm currently 260, but hope to be more like 235 by race season.True, it's a great fork, but 12 lbs? Then again, that's the weight of a FOES fork too...
Whoops. I was thinking about the Super Monster. This statement makes no sense in this thread.
02 monster T has less travel than the big single crown forks.
Funny you should mention the Super Monster.Whoops. I was thinking about the Super Monster.
Still $225 seems reasonable. I sold a brand new Drop-off for $200 and that wouldn't made a good pogo-stick.
i have one i am saving for a light weight mx bikeYou should install that fork on a KTM enduro bike instead of a mountain bike.
If you act now, QBP has 8 sets in stock.I wonder if you can still get seals for the '01-'02 monsters??...I doubt it...that might bring the price down even more...D
you can get them from enduro fork sealsI wonder if you can still get seals for the '01-'02 monsters??...I doubt it...that might bring the price down even more...D
Seals are easy, spring kits are a bitch. Marzocchi had one x-heavy spring (not a set, one spring). I ended up getting a set of heavy's for an '03 and cut them down.I wonder if you can still get seals for the '01-'02 monsters??...I doubt it...that might bring the price down even more...D
Interested in a 2004 WB DH2.0 that I can't seem to get to work right? No idea what's wrong with it and no interest in finding out...holy balls old school, i might pick one up for my 00' DHR to replace my tired DH3.... i've always loved the old school zocchi's... (98' super t FTW)
