Gwin runs his susp VERY stiff.I notice that too.
Steve smith and sam hill boxxers seem to move a lot more than gwin or gee fork.
Its seems that the run pretty different set ups.

More info on that?I can't believe no one has mentioned Sam Hill's shorter chainstays.
Longer front triangle and shorter rear - just like it was on the sunday and then on the demoMore info on that?
Just because I am interested what these guys are running to be faster.
Yes, I'm a nerd.
Rob Warner told in the live fed that the CRC team got longer front triangles - and Nigel Page wrote somewhere that Sambo got a shorter rear too.Where did you get that info?
Rob Warner said it like 4 times.Where did you get that info?
Yes. Maybe it's time to test new set-up.Gwin runs his susp VERY stiff.
sometimes it pays to pay attention to him.Rob Warner said it like 4 times.
Priceless, Spesh is modifying geo on Demo to make it more Trek like for Gwin and CRC is modifying geo to make it more Demo like for Hill. they shud just switch bikes and paint them their sponsors color... Thats what they did 20 yrs ago when half the field rode the Intense M1 frame.Longer front triangle and shorter rear - just like it was on the sunday and then on the demo
i don't know how much length was added to either frame but the syndicate got their riders longer front ends as well. different method but essentially the same result - and much cheaper i imagine. So rad that CRC can have a new front triangle pooped out for their boys for one race... no can do so easy with carbone
Fully agree. His huck in the 1st major rock section was nuts, none of the other riders even attempted it which shows how mad it must have been. Then the stepdown/double which he hit prior to hitting the fireroad pedal section was also huge, others just rolling or dropping where Smith sent it onto the 2nd or 3rd lander.First off, HUGE props to Smith for pulling the win. I saw him pull two rock doubles in his race run that no one else did.
real easy with the right supplier in place (for specials). How do you think F1 teams pull it off?So rad that CRC can have a new front triangle pooped out for their boys for one race... no can do so easy with carbone
Cool & creative what SC did, but nowhere near the same degree of control.i don't know how much length was added to either frame but the syndicate got their riders longer front ends as well. different method but essentially the same result - and much cheaper i imagine.
Agreed. Although scale of industry influence and sheer weight of budget are in different realities... average F1 team budget for 2013: $250,000,000real easy with the right supplier in place (for specials). How do you think F1 teams pull it off?
Not exactly the same result. Weight distribution is different. You are closer to the front wheel on the modded v10si don't know how much length was added to either frame but the syndicate got their riders longer front ends as well. different method but essentially the same result - and much cheaper i imagine.
Unfortunately I didn't even see the replay yetsometimes it pays to pay attention to him.
the new damper RS developed that is currently in the new pike and will most likely make its way into other forks.[probable dumbass]Charger damper?
I watched the Crankworx Garbanzo DH coverage for a few minutes last night, and managed to catch a the spotlight on Hart's bike with Dave Garland. According to Garland, Hart's riding a large frame and 35mm stem. And he's been running the Charger damper in his Boxxers, which would mean an air spring correct? Or can you have the charger damper with a coil spring? Caus' during the MSA webcast, Warner had been saying that Hart was running dual coil's, because he was too light for air springs...
Very cool. Hopefully there's some good race karma headed Matt Simmonds' way -- definitely well-deserved.I just read that Matt Simmonds gave his tear-offs to Hill who had none. Pretty class move by Simmonds who rode in some of the worst of it.
