Okay, two days ago I went up to ride the DH course now that I am leaving in montesano again... Other than a downed tree it was great... Today I went up with the chainsaw to take out the downed tree and repair "taco stand", the last drops before the finish. As I hiked up to the gap jump I saw teh carnage... Essentially the new easy out for the gap, and the section we locals call "lovers lane" has all been torn out from the woods being thinned! Needless to say it was not a pleasant sight. There are logs down all over the place and cat tracks have dug up alot of the trail. brush and branches are down all over the course section. I called the forrester and he assured me they would be done in two days but that we would have to rebuild the course afterwards... So anyone who wants to rant can now rant... and if you are interested in helping with teh rebuild process let me know and I'll find out when we will be able to start working.
