In Canada:
To be fair to the ever-resourceful RCMP, the 82 year old bypass patient was wielding his pocket knife from his hospital bed, b/c he "gets delusional" when his oxygen level runs low.. Hmmm, 3 mounties can't take the pocket knife out of an 82 yr old, hospitalized, oxygen-deprived man's hand w/o a tazer. Does this mean w/o the advent of the tazer, they would have had no choice but to shoot him?
"Don't taze me, sonny" Video (not of the actual incident, however)
