I just came across this picture a buffy of mine took. Are these the new E-13 pedals?

Notice the Tioga street tires also.

Well, whether or not those are the new pedals, they don't look anything like the picture that was posted a while back of the pedals.

They look like Easton Flatboys but not quite...

Looks like they say Atomlab on 'em.
ditto..exactly what I was going to say. Although I don't think they are

sorry BV....but they don't look like Easton's. Actually, the renderings that were posted here by DW a while back actually had a similar look to the Easton's.

I can't wait to see the final pedals tho..

They do too look like Eastons :p (okay, okay, not a lot like Eastons...)

I wasn't guessing that they were the Flatboys, just the same basic shape.

The pedals that DW posted were more rectangular, parallelogram style.

edit: like these :D

it would make sense for those to be test pedals anyways on that frame, and they do look super slim like the Evil guys said they would be. Plus it looks like maybe the bodies arent fully finished, lacking some machining?

The e.thirteen pedals hit a snag this summer when the pedal factory decided that the design was "too far from the normal" for them to concentrate on. Now we have been busy working to source components for the pedals inside the USA so that we can be sure that the pedals are built to our standards. Unfortunately, extraneous circumstances wont allow us to show our new pedals or several other projects that we worked hard on at Interbike 2004.

Its all good though. After the show, things will be calmer and I will be able to concentrate heavily on e.thirteen again. I can guarantee that the pedals will be available for 2005, and that we have some cool things planned in that respect. Its just a matter of time and persistance.

This is one of the preliminaries of the models that are to come. This particular model is a revision from last year, but you can at least get an idea of the things. Cant show the guts yet, but later this winter we will.

lookin good. Minor detail question on hardware selection: will you be using grubs or button screws? i've been having a real problem with the M4 grubs completly tearing out of my Axioms (which otherwise is a pretty nice pedal)and have since replaced the outside pins with M5 bolts which havent budged.

those are special atomlab pedals, only 50 or so pairs were made, a friend of mine has them. Stainless steel platform, and no bearings or bushings, just metal and grease.

DW whens the 27t street guide coming out, Jonas hinted at 05

Look nice.

I ride Atomlab flats now. But, I saw they have a new quickstep model. Looks interesting. & its on their web site. It stays on and gets tighter as you pull. Kind of cool. I wish there were a pedal and shoe system which you could ride flat and clipped to climb. And when I say flat I mean real flats w/ plenty of pins... Kind of a dual purpose pedal.

Yes, you can already now get grind plates for NYC Freeride Glory Holes pedals which has the same dimensions as the new race pedal.

I'm not trying to be disrespectful -- really -- but what's so different about the E13's? They *look* like a lot of my other favorite pedals, e.g. Tioga/Wellgo, Eastons, and Atomlabs. Then again, I've already shown how good I am at telling things by looking at internet pictures. Enlightenment me.

from what he's said before, he's come up with a new bearing/axle design, which i'm guessing is the problem. I'm kinda curious about the details about what exactly the manufacturers complaint was tho.

Its pretty easy to come up with a decent cage design on the other hand.
