More real estate doom and gloom

one of the reasons I retired to the southern coast.

We will soon be the largest port from san fran to seattle,

They are calling for an influx of 8k jobs into a town of 10k and real estate inventory is already scarce. I figure if I can develop at least two properties a year (which is easy) over the next 3 years I should be able to take advantage of the prices, inventory and influx considering how cheap it is to build and develop here.

Expecting all those new Trump tariffs to bring in tons of foreign goods, are they?

The Coos Bay infastructure is hard to deny. It's hard to get in and out of the coast via roads though. Maybe thats a good thing.

looks like they're going to lean on the rail network. which is a very prudent decision imo

Partney Construction has been working on the rails, tunnels and bridges for the last year as the first phase. They are also putting in several sidings in spots they have room and really beefing up the terminals for logs, pellets and chips. The dredge has been working in the bay for most of the year and the jetty work has been going on for about a year now placing massive boulders and riprap on both sides. The airport is going to expand with another airline for portland or seatac for a hop as well as the ship building yard is building two more dry docks. Seems it is all happening pretty quick. My realtors have already seen a large influx of buyers but with not much inventory to be sold so I figured I should make use of my time while the demand is high.

So is going to be the new port where we won't import the cargo due to the tariffs?

all the current port operations are exports, two log yards, 3 chip terminals, and pellet terminal, thus far the only incoming terminal is oil/fuel and not sure where it comes from. I would imagine the container terminal would be relieving traffic for the rest of the west coast ports.

Wow, this just sold on the 8th and I didn't see any signs posted. It sold for $371,000 which is a good $100k bellow what anything else in this part of the hood has listed for. I'm curious what happened.

We had a short walkies and I noticed it looked empty and had a lock box on the door.
It’s possible it was trashed inside and would need extensive work to get it back to market value.

Poor Michael Jordan. How will he cope, financially?
I realize you're being facetious, but MJ actually has been very wise with his money unlike so many ex-athletes. from that very home fire-sale article he turned a cool $2.7 billion (!) profit on his stake in the Hornets, and Nike is still paying him $260 million… per year.
