'nother trailbike question for youts. I'm in hot pursuit of a nice/decent bike that I can ride all day on. I don't need crazy light weight or monster acceleration or massive travel, just something I can kerplunk for several hours on without getting tired or bored or struggling. I was originally looking for just a cheapo used bike, but have struck out on anything local...so I expanded my search a little further and found some neat ones.

There's a 09 Trek Fuel EX9 for 1750, stock, I think it's my size. Light use.

The other one is this. A salsa big mama completely built, brandy new.

I'm new to 29ers and I don't really know their value vs. 26ers, but that's a hell of a deal and I don't think there's a part on it that I really don't like.

I'll be riding mostly east coast twisty rocky singletrack. Favorites? Have heard nothing but good things about either. For ~500 I can get a brand new bike, which I've never had before. For slightly less, I can get a bike this weekend that almost exactly what I'm looking for. Need some halps.
