Picking up a makulu at the weekend
Just wondering if anyone uses angled reducer cups to slacken the head angle??
I think I will order some but not sure wether to go for 64 or 63.

I don't own one... But I would imagine the 65* HA is pretty damn slack when you are sitting in the recommended 40% of sag. I would try it as is before you went to some angled cups.

I'm running the hope stepdown headset which is flush on the top and external at the bottom. It extends the axle to crown a little to keep it slack but as said already that with 40% sag it's plenty slack
as said, the correct sag should be 40% at least; some guys even ride it with 45% sag; with a static HA of 65 you can imagine how slack it will be with the correct sag..... and believe me - it fells really slack
Thats wrong. Makulu means big. period. My grand fathers nickname to us grand kids was 'Kulu which is short for makulu because he was so tall. Makulu intombi is a big woman in the same way makulu indota is a big man. If anyone out the can read and write zulu, feel free to correct my spelling, I only speak the language, I never learnt to read and write it.
