the drop kicks are so under rated, its nice being from mass where you actually hear them on the radio every once and a while.
the dropkicks are TERRIBLE. all the musicians who made that band noteworthy during its first few years have all moved on to other projects. now its a bunch of bland mindless garbage for drunk frat boys.

Front Range, dude...
Notsomuch, IMHO. The band has evolved over the years, from the early days of straight hard core to the now of Irish folk mixed w/ electrified punk energy. Shows are still great, energy and pit are still there. I just look at them a bit differently I guess...

Losing Mark Orell was bad, I will admit. He rocked.

the last time i "saw" them, i was only there for the opening act (SOIA). When DKM took the stage they were thoroughly boo'd. they also started chanting "we want mccolgan!"

edit: actually, i "saw" them once more after that, at the warped tour 10th anniversary show in boston, and they played, very, very poorly. crowd wasn't really into them either

I know this kind of thing has been beaten to death, but I listened to some jacknut on the way home from LA today prattling on about the Beatles (WHO SUCK!) and I just had to weigh in on my
5 MOST OVERRATED BANDS EVRE

1. The Beatles
Not highly original, ripped off Chuck Berry, Elvis, Motown etc. Plus eventually spawned "Wings" and who could forget Ringo as Mr Condustor on Thomas the Tank Engine...
Went from being pop, top 40 to hiding from the press. Keith Moon could of/should of kicked all their a$$es.
2. The Doors.
Jim Morrison, closet case who denied his parents were alive, although they outlived him. Plus, bad movie w/ Val Kilemr, and NO BASS, WTF?
3. The Eagles.me
So. Cal. power mellow. Gimme a break.
4. The Sex Pistols.
Invented by Malcolm McClaren to capitaliize on a trend and sell records. Joe Strummer could of/should ofkikced all their a$$es!
5. The Kinks
OHMYGAWDDOTHEYSUCK! Aside from "Lola" and "You really got me" what has Ray Davies contributed to society? I bough "The Road" and endede up using for target practice. The f@cking used CD place wouldtn even take it...
So anywya, theres my input for the night. Take it, or leave it...
Holy Jeebus, how wasted was I when I wrote this??

I need to add the Ramones to this list.

I still listen to the radio a lot, especially in my car. Classic rock station mostly. As soon as U2 comes on I change the station.
So you still haven't found what your looking for?

Also Pink Floyd. Stop with the fucking three minute intros, I got shit to do. Play the fucking song. Also, laser fetish.

I'm just trolling cause I knew someone would bite on this one. I mean, we already started bagging on U2 and they are way better and more influential than Pink Floyd.
south park dedicated an entire episode to how the singer for u2 is a giant walking piece of shit. your argument is invalid.

Some bands don't suck all that much (but the latter half of U2 surely does), but the commercialized crap they repetitively play on the "radio" or streaming certainly does, never digging into their catalog for the much better songs...just the pop crap that hit the charts.

Worst is when you go get an MRI and they have a streaming service piped to the headset, so have to give a song or band for it to pick stuff...but if you say "metallica", you'll be listening to the black album the entire time and might kill yourself.

What's wrong with Ramones?
This-
gotta agree I woke up one morning to my Girlfriend fucking my roommate. Totally pissed me off. Bunch of my mates rolled into town that evening shoved me into a van and off to the Catalyst to a Ramones Concert we went. The Mosh pit was just what I needed and the energy was out of this world with the Ramones lighting it up. Afterwards I was in a great mood from taking it out on everyone in the pit. We got back to my place and the lights were off Pete had Alix in his arms on the couch she was holding her head and moaning in pain. Turns out she had frequent severe migraines. I just looked at him , said thanks Pete, she's all yours. grabbed beers from the fridge and me and the guys walked down the trail to the beach in Aptos.

Saw Flee (sic) on the street once and said, hey, it's Young MC's bass player, and let me tell you something, he didn't like that

Used to live near Mike D., and would see him from time to time in random places, like kid's soccer tryouts and the local micro-grocery store. One Halloween when we were walking around the big Halloween street in Cobble Hill I saw him and said "nice Mike D. costume" to him, and I still feel stupid about it to this day.
