I was watching the Redbud moto last weekend and saw the Yamaha tech showed what they do to try and prevent bent and/or broken levers...Pretty neat , I wonder if we'll ever see anything like it on MTB one day.

Anyone else has seen this?

Are you speaking of unbreakable levers made by ASV? I have been running unbreakable levers on my moto for years........ I have never broke one in 6 years...

yeah, it was an ASV lever with a rotating clamp (loose with a plastic coating) what was shown. It was Jeremy Ablrecht in the interview. He is the team manager from Joe Gibbs Racing.

Avid levers already are able to over extend. Not as much as ASV but much better than most brakes. I had a pair of Hayes back in the day that over traveled and I needed to replace a washer and E-clip.

On a side note, former Progressive Suspension R&D guy Gerald was at Red Bud doing suspension and chassis development/tuning for Yamaha. I stopped by and chatted with him for a while.
