I have a DJ II from a few years back. I was wondering if I could run car motor oil instead of fork oil. I was thinking thicker oil would slow down/stiffen the fork?

Thoughts/suggestions?

I may. But I won't be doing it tonight, or tomorrow (girlfriend has brain surgery going on) but I may get a chance mid week. I figure someone may have a thought in the meantime...

*actually, I seem to remember buying the thickest stuff last time and not thinking it was too thick......
