FYI, I have been running the Michelin bibs on my plated 500 and they are rated to 80mph, they will last the duration of a rear tire even on asphalt without breaking down.

Was behind a motorcycle yesterday and the rider kept turning around to look at me. Didn't understand what was going on until I noticed his rear view mirrors were the size of postage stamps.

I used to be entirely of the "why have mirrors since you need to head-check anyway" school...but now that I have not been riding Fonzie's bikes for a few years, I've gotten used to using them for general awareness prior to making shoulder checks.
Still need to have the head on a pivot but still good for a quick situational scan while keeping an eye on the road ahead. Also this place isn't the environment for wide open highway cruising.
I actually make it a point to attempt eye contact, which seems to solidify my presence with motorists in traffic.

My friend wants me to buy his Honda. It's a dually and I can ride it to the trail. I would prefer to just have a bike that can be good at the trail part.

Pilsner is a brand here...somewhat limits their lineup. But it's cold and refreshing, which meet the Anthony Bourdain standards for local beers. Good enough for me.

I had one of those. Really nice bike.
Had a 125 SX in 2003 when I was racing DH as a sort of trainer vehicle.
Sold it when I quit racing.
Got this instead.
Was a beast, Mahle piston, bigger better carb, hydro polished in- and outlets, Akrapovic Ti exhaust and custom tuned suspension. 66 hp at the wheel...
My former boss and later buddy also rides. Did a nice trip once, Stuttgart-Reutte-Hahntennjoch-Timmelsjoch-Jaufenpass-Penserjoch-Sarntal-Porsche Bozen-Brenner-Innsbruck-Telfs-Fernpass-Stuttgart.
~1000 km in one day of riding, couldn't type for two days. All to pick up this little car:
Now I've got kids.
Oh, and a 1978 Vespa P200E with a nice Malossi Sport 210 kit and sone suspension that deserves its name. The brakes though
