i used to lust after the original san andreas. subsequent mountain cycles, not so much. pretty radical stuff at the time. i believe the first production disc brakes, & first inverted fork. i still have one of those forks (2" travel elastomer).

No, not even close. The first one was released about two decades ago. I remember seeing one in FL in a showroom - the monocoque frame seemed thin and delicate.Same here. Went with an ellsworth instead at the time (2001 or 2002)
I know I didnt know about one two decades ago. Being 24 makes it hardly possible

I don't think it looks terrible; some different paint would help some. In any case, I have a Shockwave 9.5 and have had some good seasons on it. MC was very helpful when I needed some things.

The swingarm almost looks cast, like my car's a-arms. I would imagine it would be sufficienctly stiff, but the weird HT cutout scares me.
I think the plan is actually carbon? Thats what the photo descriptions lead one to believe anyways
that headtube cutout looks extremely scary from this angle
The user is a 25 year old from germany, I'm guessing this is more so of a Solidworks project then it is something that will actually be produced, i dont even know if he's associated with mountain cycle?

Thats just a dood having some fun as a side project. Mountain Cycle have proven that they lack even the basics of bike design, or a clue to the current industry, so no way they are coming up with something that cool.

It hasn't been confirmed as far as I know, but the last I read was that Mountain Cycle was bought by Alan Kang of Chumba (who has a pretty negative reputation by the way).
