I am searching for a flash type MP3 player. I have narrowed my choices. Anyways how important is sound quality? For exsample. The RCA one i am looking at hold 80 songs at 64KHZ. Which on a PC does not sound that good. All of my music is 128KHZ or better. So is Sound quality really important?

Thanks

The main reason i ask is becasue allmost all of the players i have looked at with the exception of IPOD. Bases the number of songs held at 64KHZ. If i went ahead and bought a 128MB player i am only going to get maybe 40 songs on it at 128KHZ

128 kbps is about the lowest i'd want to listen to. it doesn't matter what the vendors say, just do the math yrself based on what you would encode yr songs to. i use variable bit rate @ 192, which sounds great to my ears and i can't tell a difference between that and 256.

for instance, a 4 min song @ 192 is about 5.7 MB in size.

i've got a Rio which can take an additional SD card in an expansion slot. they have 128, 256 or 512 internal memory, and i think you can use up to a 1GB SD card in the slot.
