Hi, im buying a Mr Dirt fork in just a few weeks, and even tho a hayes brake is included, i would like to be able to run my hopes on it, but i dont know if i can use an adapter or not. maybe someone can fill me in and if so direct me to a website where i can find such an adapter, id like to stay away from making one myself if i can find a nicely manufactured one :)

Cool, I just pulled that fork off his V10 last night and installed his new 888.

everyone is getting 888's these days, i like to stay different tho :D :dancing:

besides, i kinda like collecting the oddities. you have no doubt seen my Original jack flash Z1 Dual combo, which is becoming a good showpiece for oddities components.. full proshift mechs and shifters on it now as well, i dont really like gripshift, but hey its porn!

His Mr. Dirt is still in pretty good shape, the lowers looked perfect from a quick glance. Jeff is a good guy to deal with.

Honestly I don't know, I didn't pay attention to the mount when I removed the fork. The only thing I commented on was the fact he was using Hayes.  :D
hehe.. actually im fine with hayes too, but i do prefer the hopes for sure!

grimm, i think the adapter would work, yes it willbe spaced out quite a bit, but if you can find some good hardended steel bolts, and good washers it should work fine
im wondering tho.. it makes for quite a leverage.. :(

he's unfortunatly taking some getting around to find out shipping rates :( but yes the deal is sealed and as soon (hopefully real soon) as he gets me some quote i will pay and the fork will be on its way to its new home!

but regarding the adaptor, it seems like it wont add any to the disc-size.. or is that just me seeing wrong?

This pic might help. The 1st is the standard hayes 22mm adapter and the second is international standard. Once you get it I would take it to a shop that has lots of adapters in stock to see what combination you can get to work. You could always have a metal shop make one, if it comes down to that.

ehm.. the 22mm mount is not fixed to the fork itself? its hard to find pics of this fork, close ups are more or less non existant, and the pics i got from -BB- doesnt show that side.. :(

two adapters in order to run a brake sounds kinda risky
