Holy fuck.

I was thinking maybe I should get one to help with my flat end-stroke, and then I saw the price...

Expensive? How much does Fox SLS springs cost in Murica? In Europe they are around 170 € which is about 190 USD. SAR lightweight springs are about the same price as MRPs
I agree that it's not cheap but it's on par with the rest of the market...

Fox Trump-orange lightweight springs are 130.00 US$ at both Jenson and UniversalCycles.
Cane Creek Valt lightweight are 60.00 at Jesnon.

'Bit pricey, but for something as important as a spring, if your frame can take advantage of it, I think it may be worthwhile.
There are things on the bike that you can drop more than a buck fifty on that won't bring as much benefit as an optimized suspension.

It will be interesting to see how these work out in the real world.

Pretty sure Stratos progressive springs were nowhere near $150

I think there was a newer thread where someone was asking about progressive springs but I couldn't find it, sooooo-
Sytace seem to be making them for the Liteville Ballcrusher Moped-

Does anyone know where the progression starts kicking in on various progressive springs? Is it the same across all progressive springs (assuming a typical 20% progression), or are some later than others?

Cane Creek shows a graph that has it starting to ramp roughly at the middle of stroke. I think this would be great for adding pop when you're pumping. https://canecreek.com/product/coil-shock-springs-linear-progressive/

DVO and MRP don't have any graphs.

Sprindex shows it only ramping up at the last 15% or so. Probably nice for bottom out but not much else. https://sprindex.com/pages/overview

Race Only Springs quotes 70% for theirs - https://www.raceonlysprings.com/product/progressive-shock-spring/

Thanks! I knew there was another brand I was forgetting. I might try one of these, since they make one that starts at 375. I am currently on a 375 EXT, and a 400 is too much, but 350 would be too soft initially.

Edit: fuck, they're DH springs / 75mm stroke.
I have an MRP 350, but it seems to add quite a bit of deep-stroke harshness due to the damping not matching the increased spring rate...

What are you trying to solve for @Andeh? I've always seen those as most useful for bikes that are linear or progressive-to-regressive.
Just general tinkering. More mid-late stroke support to get more pop out of pumps, while allowing me to back off the LSC for small bump. Also, just experimenting to see what a bike with very high progressivity and coil would feel like.
