nevermind, found "text-to-column" under "Data" menu and that was easy

Just a cell or a whole row or column?

There must be some kind of un-concatenate formula.

my next deliverable will have to suck non-standardized (except for column names) spreadsheets saved as .xml through a web portal & populate a db.

i'm not looking fwd to it.
