I'm working on building a dual slalom / mtn x bike. What are some good full suspension frames for those disciplines? So far I'm looking at the Trek Fuel SLR, and the specialized enduro. any other ideas. If any one has one to sell I would also be interested

Ok here's my 2 cents...

Intense Tazer - still has the best geometry for a fs. It really gets out of the gate an excelerates out of turns. The negative is it is some what flexy . All fs bikes have a longer rear triangle than their ht counterpart which on any but the highest speed courses is a negative.. Frankly if you can buy only one bike i would buy a HT. I would pass on the trek. The Specialized has good performance but sits quite upright.

We love the Orange Msisle, Morgan has ridden one since 02. He has outgrown the frame when he hit 5'10" (size sm). It will be for sale. It is in great shape. We did not buy a new one because Morgan wanted a change.

For the 2nd half of 2005 and the 06 season he will race a Black Market Mob (4.5 lbs), by S&M. We looked at a number of bikes Including the Staats (liked). We think the bmx guys have the right ideas for 4x/ds....

Best of luck with your choice

There's an 18"Azonic Propulsion frame on Ebay now for $300...New!
I just got a used 16.5" for $350. I've been very happy with it..veryresponsive, agile,light, can take 5' jumps.
If cash is a factor, I would recommend it.
The damping on the Romic shock is non-existant haowever.

Over the enduro, check out the enduro SX.
Awesome geometry, similar to a tazer, but it's a little stronger/heavier.

I've got a short, which I love, that I'm thinking of selling. I havn't ridden it in at least three months (since I got a "trail" bike). I'm gonna take it out this weekend and try to rekindle the flame.

I'll let you know if I decide to sell it.

i like to get a 4x dual frame too. i am just tried for riding a hard tail. it is just beating the crap out of me. i was wondeing about like Iron Horse, Giant, Trek, or some other big names. they have bikes that would make a decent one with out spending a lot of money.

Well, I rode this weekend, and I've come to terms that slalom and jumping just aren't for me anymore.

I love my SX, it corners amazingly well, but I just can't justify having it around collecting dust. Anyone interested? (Talas, hayes purples, holzfellers, xt, easton, thompson, king, etc.)

I've also got an '04 IH hollowpoint Team frame, small, I was planning on building as a slalom/trail bike. It's a blem frame, just a scrape on the side of the downtube (about 4" long, completely aesthetic).
A friend of mine got a good deal on it and used most of the parts.
It's been assembled, but never ridden (i.e. brand friggin' new).

Probably around $550 for the frame with the 5th air shock, extra der hanger and manuals
