There not that much lighter than a standard setup. Better ride thoughand if glued properly, youll never pop a bead off a rim. Seriously though, its more of a lookie what I have more than anything.
:biggrin: I was just referring to him purposely removing the front tire and tube since it was extra weight.

....ok, so maybe not the best shoe ever but they really did kick ass!
I remember seeing something about sticky rubber Vans at Sea Otter.

Cool shot - who ever said XC riders can't ride DH. At least all the WC riders I have ridden with just had tons of bike skills.

Not completely true. The main reason we run them is the same reason Cyclocrossers run them, they allow for insanely low tire pressure. Because the rim has no bead, it's impossible to pinch flat a tubular, some of these guys are running Psi in the "teens". And this is what might have happened in this picture: Sucky glue job + low low pressure = tire rolling off the rim.
