Specs on the Bronson look right at the sweet spot for an aggressive trail bike. It's a good thing the colors are not my thing or else I'd be considering getting in line for a frame. It's pretty close to my Megasmash, but the SC frame quality is so nice.

I think the frame only price was 3700 beer tokens. FTS.

what's gg's lead time right meow?
Their website is pretty accurate. If there's no-chance-in-hell, they aren't offering the bike or frames. If they are getting a good lead on parts and production runs, they are putting up the est. time and allowing for purchase. My frame was shipped last week and should be here in two days. The time from ordering to shipping was pretty accurate from the site, which said 6-8wks I believe. Probably a little on the shorter side of that.

Preordered a large raw Patrol today. Expecting end July. Called the shop Friday to fish for info and they were expecting 4 in total but dates tbd. Called Monday for dates and today for the order and lucky I did, bagged the last 1. Full builds may be more subject to date changes.

I'm getting tempted to order a Bronson frame, only thing holding me back is the price and the hope that Megatrail stays will be available soon. New steep/loose/narrow renegade local trails are revealing the downsides of the 29 back wheel.

Have you tried calling GG up directly to beg? I managed to get a set in February despite them not being listed as available on the website.

They'll be available again soon. Call/email the shop to be notified when you can order.

Travis at Beta has what sounds like an interesting new article about the term "mullet" and one reason the industry is moving toward the term "mixed" instead. I'm not a subscriber though, so I haven't read.

curious what the full story is. they trying to argue they invented the concept? how long have they even been around?

the blurb from beta's insta:
betamtb @mulletcycles was all-in on mixed wheels long before the rest of the industry started catching on. They have battled to secure the word “mullet” as a trademark since the year they made their first bike.

the company seems more bs marketing than substance. the bikes certainly look like shit.

Yup, I will be interested in reading Travis' pending article.
MX is most likely where the terminology will land.

I bet Liteville made the first frames dedicated to 27/29 wheels.

I don't think I ever got tyre buzz from my 27.5 GT Fury, but I think every day I've been on the 29/27.5 Commencal Supreme I've been buzzed.

There should be a company that makes nothing but mullet bikes that totally paints themselves into a corner in the market, like Niner.

Everything is a sack buzz if you aren’t a bitch.
I took my 29" DH bike to the jumps while wearing some brand new TLD Skyline shorts. After a handful of runs throwing whips over the new hips they built I noticed the rear tire had torn through the back of the short's legs in two places. I hadn't even felt it besides being aware of a little tire buzz. Today I'm gonna try to warranty them but the lesson learned is "29 specific" shorts need abrasion resistant fabric. Also, I'm looking forward to my 27" wheels arriving.
