i kinda wished i'd had a ticket so i could seen more than 3 songs.

The photos look great, makes me want to see them again.
As far as the no ticket, get booted scenario- A little sweet talking can get you a long way. Find out right away who does the booting and chat them up. Don't ask right away to be able to stay, but make friends- get them talking about something they like to talk about and then when booting time comes ask politely if you could possibly stay if you leave your equip backstage. Worked every time for me....

i don't think any amount of sweet-talking was gonna help me in this case...seems like they had a process all worked out, and no deviations from plan were allowed. i was ushered in the side entrance, where i sat w/ my media escort until 15 before showtime, where we were escorted to the pit. 3 songs, pack my stuff up, and back to the waiting area. i asked her if i could get some shots of the merch table, as per my assignment instructions, and she escorted me around there, then back to the waiting area where you could still hear the muffled sounds of the opening band.

if my car was closer, i might have had a chance to see if i could stow the gear and head back in, but chances weren't looking good.

i'd love to shoot in this place again, the usual places don't get stage setups like this:
