The radical Islamic Web site Revolutionmuslim.com is going after the creators of the TV cartoon series "South Park" after an episode last week included an image of the Prophet Mohammed in disguise.

Revolutionmuslim.com, based in New York, was the subject of a CNN investigation last year for its radical rhetoric supporting “jihad” against the West and praising al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden. Its organizers insist they act within the law and seek to protect Islam.

On Sunday, Revolutionmuslim.com posted an entry that included a warning to South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone that they risk violent retribution – after the 200th episode last week included a satirical discussion about whether an image of the prophet could be shown. In the end, he is portrayed disguised in a bear suit.

They love our free speech, until they get all butt hurt by it.

do you really think I'm browsing 4chan from work? I'd like to keep my job thank you very much! My save folder is at home. Let's just say the image I'd like to post depicts a scene after jesus and mohammad have both caught "teh ghey"

The funniest part is that the Parker/Stone rhetorical construct "put a jihad on you," which sounded so awkward and funny in Team America, is now being used to discuss this like it's an accepted term of Islamic jurisprudence...

Rob Rhiner is after your goo

Also, something I'd like to point out.... extreme irony alert... in season 5 of South Park there was an episode that ACTUALLY SHOWED MUHAMMED, UNCENSORED.

so comedy central even censored the name "mohammed" last night. wtf?
at first i was all 'huh'? and so it seems this is true. are trey/matt kowtowing, or is viacom? they should treat this as they did scientology when chef got all butthurt

maybe they should make a documentary, complete w/ depictions of mo schtupping his 6 yr old "wife" aisha

light is the best disinfectant

I think the mohammed censoring throughout the episode was viacom, but at the conclusion of the episode, large chunks of dialog were censored, and I suspect that this may just have been matt & trey poking fun at the censoring.

from wikipedia (via southparkstudios.com):

According to the South Park Studios webpage, Comedy Central censored episode "201" after delivery but before airing. The episode is not officially available online because the studio does not have network clearance to air the unedited version.[1] Censorship also affected the rebroadcasting of episode "201" on Comedy Central. New episodes of South Park are usually re-aired at least three times on Comedy Central: two hours after the 10:00 P.M. Wednesday original airing at midnight, then at 10:30 p.m. Thursday, and at 11:00 p.m. Sunday. Instead of episode "201", the network re-aired "The Tale of Scrotie McBoogerballs" in the midnight slot, and according to Comedy Central's TV schedule will re-air it again on Thursday night.[2] The network will also re-air "You Have 0 Friends" in the Sunday night spot instead of episode "201".[3]

apparently all the censoring was comedy central / viacom's doing:

A Statement from Matt and Trey said:
In the 14 years we've been doing South Park we have never done a show that we couldn't stand behind. We delivered our version of the show to Comedy Central and they made a determination to alter the episode. It wasn't some meta-joke on our part. Comedy Central added the bleeps. In fact, Kyle's customary final speech was about intimidation and fear. It didn't mention Muhammad at all but it got bleeped too. We'll be back next week with a whole new show about something completely different and we'll see what happens to it.

Didn't this also happen with the South Park "Family Guy" episodes...like 5 years ago? Where Mohammed shows up at Peter's door wearing a "salmon helmet"? It was the episode where Cartman was trying to have Family Guy canceled. And Comedy Central censored that one too.....

how do you spell Mohammed anyway? <-- that looks like Mo' hammed.....as in you now have an additional amount of ham.
