Hey, does anyone know how much ATF I should put in my MX6?

And this has been posted before, but I couldn't find the thread:

Does the oil go in the top, bottom, or both?

Split evenly between top and bottom?

Split unevenly between top and bottom?

One stanchion?

Both stanchions?

Neither stanchions?

On the floor?

On my shoes?

On my dog?

Why does the caged bird sing?

Thanks.

You can either fill it from the top, or the bottom. I found it easier to fill it from the top. Just loosen all the crown bolts and slide the sliders down to expose the guts. Then in increments of 20cc add atf to both legs and retighten everything and test. Adding atf will prevent the fork from bottoming, btw. Hope this helps:D
Perfect! Thanks alot! :)

Yeah, when I checked out that page (been there before) I don't get any text...just the pictures.

I'm using Netscape 6 right now, I'll try tomorrow at work where I can use IE and see if I get any text.

from memory they come with 270ml of oil standard in both legs. The starndard springs are soft and most people that i know end up running more oil. In my my mx-6 i used to run about 310ml of oil. Try mixing atf down with fork oil to get different weight oil.
