i bet thats good sounding instrument. i love old instruments. as a matter of fact i really like old strings as well, the strings on my mandolin are about 15 years old. my banjo strings are about a year old.

You're right..... older wood is definitely better. I have a 1924 Gibson A-style Snakehead mandolin and a 1914 F4, both with the original strings I think. The guitars are a bit newer .....a 1983 Martin HD-28 and most recently a Collings OM-2H.

cool beans man, I've had a couple alvarez's. Nicest japanase made guitar, up there with the yamahas imo. I just picked up thisa one. Ramirez classical. Relearning to read music again for the 12th time in my life
well i pick a little banjo and a little guitar and a little mandolin. i've been goofing off with music for a few years but i have never gotten real serious about it but that is gettin ready to change
