Here is my Evil Sovereign which I recently finished rebuilding ( I hope you are not all Sovereign'ed out ;) ). It is my interpretation of an all mountain Clydesdale worthy hardtail. I broke my neck 15 years ago (crushed C5, vertebrae C4-C5-C6 are now fused together) so I do not do any large drop or stunts.

Some future upgrades include X.0 trigger shifters (mostly for the multiple mounting positions), full length lock-on grips with bar end caps of my own design (think bar end protection and hand stop) and a saddle of my own design (I have yet to find a saddle that fits me correctly across multiple riding positions and conditions).

  • Frame: Long Silver Sovereign
  • Fork: 05’ Rock Shox Pike Team with an extra firm spring
  • Headset: Chris King
  • Stem: RaceFace Diabolus 70mm with 10 degrees of rise
  • Handle Bar: Easton DH CNT Carbon Riser
  • Grips: ODI Lock-On, grip shift length
  • Shifters: SRAM 9.0 Gripshift
  • Seat Post: RaceFace Diabolus 31.6mm
  • Seat Post Collar: Hope QR
  • Saddle: Azonic Love Seat
  • Cranks/BB: RaceFace Atlas with DH BB cups
  • Rings: E.Thirteen 36T Supercharger, 36T and 24T RaceRings
  • Pedals: Speedplay Drillium

  • Rear Derailleur: 05' SRAM X.9 Medium Cage
  • Cassette: SRAM 9.0 11-32
  • Chain: SRAM PC-99 hollow pin
  • Front Wheel: 32 hole Hope Bulb 20mm hub laced with DT Swiss Competition spokes and brass nipples to a DT Swiss FR6.1D rim
  • Rear Wheel: 32 hole Hadley 108pt engagement QR axle hub laced with DT Swiss Competition spokes and brass nipples to a DT Swiss FR6.1D rim
  • Tires: front and rear Kendra Nevegal 2.3

Looks very nice! Had a very similar setup this summer.
Is that the Easton CNT bar? I want one...

Only thing that feels (looks) wrong is the saddle, but it´s your ride.

edit: read in the spec list that is was a CNT... sry

nvm i saw it, 33lbs, thats a good weight
To be honest, that was my old estimated weight. I now have lighter brakes, bar and fork but have a heavier stem, post and wheels. I would say that is it closer to 34 lbs then it is to 33 lbs. Either way I weight about 245 lbs on a good day (working my way down into the 230's ;) ), so relative to me it is not too heavy.

Agreed, a new saddle is on my future upgrade list. I'm actually working on my own saddle design. I should to be riding a hand crafted prototype before to long.
