I wore through the front wheel of mine. My dad cut up an old bike tire and wired it to the big wheel rim. I had so much more traction and could beat all the other little kids in big wheel races.
The single most terrifying thing if you are 8 years old and grandma lives on a hill...
<edit> SNIPED! Bastard.
You had the hampsters spinning neuro-wheels in me noggin' trying to figure out where you were going with that before I clicked.
swear i saw one of those wheels in the bike shop back home for repair! haha
^ that was the $hit back in the day.
They still make the green machine.
But the rubber wheel makes for sh!tty burnouts.
i did one in our shop the other day. wasn't that hard really.
now me riding to TEST out was another story!
adult size mod to trek
my pal josh getting all mario kart!
I was soooo busted by a customer after repairing their Green Machine... I took it out in the parking lot to "F" around and re-live some child hood memories and they pulled in to check if it was done...
I played it off and told them "I was just test riding it" but they could tell by the grin on my face it was more than that!
We take out the trek mods for some fun at work every now and then. The freewheel up front makes drifting phenomenal.
They look pretty cool, but the orginals were brakeless and fixed
So most of us were riding brakeless fixies long before the current trend...
Did you wear manpris too?
