so I was a victim of road rage today. I was on 695 in baltimore heading for my friends house. So I am in fast lane, and this guy moves over to let me by. he was only doing 60 mph, and I was coming up on him doing I guess around 70, so I figured that he was just letting me pass. Well he did let me pass, but then he got back into the fast lane sped up, and started flashing his lights at me. And proceeded to give me the finger too many times for me to remember. So I moved over to let him pas, and he moved over with me. So I moved over again. Then I finally reach the slow lane. So I am driving in the slow lane, and he is right next to me pacing me, and yelling at me, calling me all sorts of obscenities. So I slowed down, and tried to get away from him. Then speed up into another lane. I finally got back to the fast lane and I floored it. Out of no where I see him again. This time he tries to run me into the jersey wall. So I slowed down, to dodge him. It worked, but he tried 3 more time after that. At this point I was really freaked out, so I decided to just go as fast as possible to get away from the lunatic. I ended up doing 105mph in traffic, using shoulders, dodging in and out of lanes, just trying to get away from this guy, and keep alive. This whole time I am trying to get to exits, but with now luck. After a while, I saw a cop. But the for some reason, the cop didn't see me, but he saw the other guy, and got him. I don't know what I did to this guy. I didn't tailgate him. I didn't flash my lights, honk, or anything. I know I should have called the police before it escalated so bad, but I remembered my cell phone was cut off. (thanks sprint!) This guy was an absolute psycho. This is another reason why I hate driving!

good to hear you came out of it allright. sounds like hommie was really mad. on a side note your cell phone would have worked to call the police. even if they are cut out you can still call 911.

had a guy pull a gun on me in a similar incident.
he was yelling for me to pull over so he could kick my ass....his exact words.
i just smiled and politely waved a finger at him,
so he showed me his pistol.
i called 911 but he sped off and had no plates....

It's cool that you're alive and all, but it really sucks that there are people insecure and stupid enough to wave a gun over what is essentially nothing.

I'm afraid your experience shows that bmorekirby handled his incident pretty well. I wish I had the self-control to ignore roadragers. Unfortunately I got spoiled by the dimwits I grew up driving around and let F$*&ing w/them become a fun game. They give me the finger? I blow a kiss. They start yelling, I give them big s(&-eating grin. I get off on watching them turn purple, blow steam, and start hitting their steering wheel, dashboard, window that they forgot was rolled up, etc (you ever see a middle-aged middle-manager almost hang himself on his halfway-down Camry window because he's trying to LITERALLY CRAWL OUT THROUGH THE WINDOW he's so irate?). I know they're not half as pissed at me as they are at themselves for being needledorks, or their boss for exploiting them, or their girlfriends (who are either sitting there, ghost-white, looking scared out o' their wits or yelling at them to calm the hell down) for not inflating their ego enough.

The really sad part is I rarely get to play anymore. My wife and kids are with me at least half the time I drive. I can't afford a bulletproof vehicle. All I can do is keep driving and hope the rager finds another way to blow their hatewad. But man I miss the game.
