Right now I am riding a gary fisher level bettythat my parents got used from their friend for my birthday. It has a rockshock judy xl fork and a super deluxe shock. The left stanchion tube is really really dry and scratched up and the right tube has a blown cartridge. They don't make cartridges for that fork anymore. My parents will probably get me a marzocchi dj II. Will I be able to do 5' drops with this. I do dirt jumps, trails, really really light fr and some xc.

look into their FR line the dampaning in the FR forks feels alot better! the DJs are great a dirt jumping, the problem is that they are designed to pack up a little on the middle of its stroke. this makes the fork feel really bad when you land from a drop of anything sizeable

The fr line is much more expensive- the dj2 is $189@ cambria. I have looked at reviews and people changed the oil weight and springrate. I could also send it to push indutries and have them set it up for me eventually.

I will get the dj III. I will ride it how it is and see how it feels then if it isn't right change the springrate and/or oil.
