I wanted to shout out for Tom Boonen and his World Championship victory.

I first noticed him at his 3rd place in the 2002 Paris-Roubaix, when he worked his butt off for Hincapie and still ended up on the podium.

This course really favored his strengths, but he pulled the trigger when it counted and now he rides in the rainbow.

Quite the way to cap off a stellar season for sure. To think he's only 24 and he's won three of the biggest races in a single season. Eddy Merckx couldn't praise him enough, so that tells you something of his potential. I just hope he doesn't go the way of Frank Vandebrouck(sp).
The only thing that sucked about that race is that I didn't get to see it...much like the Vuelta.
