So, as many of you know, I decided to go for a Canon G5. I love this thing, and I have only used it once. it takes pictures with no lag just like shooting a 35mm. (although, just not quite the same)

As far as digital goes, this one rules! This will definantly make it easier for my riding pics and portfolio pics.

Check out this one from work yesterday. Its the lead singer of the Presidents of the United States of America :thumb:

(No Photochop, I swear!)

Awesome photo... I see that that dork in mid air is still only playing with 2 strings on his guitar

Saw them at a free show in Tulsa back in like 95-96 and it was like WTF, he only has 2 strings on his guitar :eviltongu

aha i wear earplugs for shows now too, i can't stand not being able to hear for days afterward. :p

Its a must for me! I may be working for the lighting company right now, but I am a sound guy too. And walking from backstage to the audience, right by the mains and subs is REALLY FVCKING LOUD!

even w/ earplugs, my ears were shot for ~2 days after seeing the stooges.

i'm pretty faithful about wearing them to all the shows now, but i wish i had started about 10 years ago. :dead:

You need better earplugs!

that, or, it was reaallllly loud if taking the level down 20dB didnt make a differance!

i think the ear plugs don't give a full 20 dB reduction (maybe 12 or so?) so that's definitely a contributing factor. it was loud as hell too.

i like the plugs though; they are the plastic/rubber baffled ones, not the foam inserts. they seem to attenuate across the whole frequency spectrum and not just act as a high-end filter like the yellow foam ones.

Yeah, I have a pair of the plastic ones that work much better than the foam inserts. However, at this concert, I didnt have them, so I took what I could get :blah:
