Looks good! I'm really excited to get my 05 DHi. Should be fun. What size is that and how tall are you? How's it pedal?

I cant believe that you sold your cannondale for a DHI.

Right...because the cannondale is such a great bike...honostly, it's a great company, but the bike was very sub par for ME...being 200+ lbs and riding the way that I DO, it didn't fit...LIKE I SAID, EXCELLENT COMPANY!!!

If they would have issued me a factory one like Balloochi and Gracia I would have considered it...DHX 5.0 with 8.1" of travel...revamped main pivot (

List of problems I had with my Cannondale...
1) BB @ 14.8" high...WAY high for a 7" travel DH bike
2) 7" of travel NOT ENOUGH!
3) Leverage Ratio too low, yes, this is possible, the dampening of the shock could not be reduced to a level that was acceptable
4) Flexy, sure the swingarm/wheel interface was nice and stiff, but the main pivot wasn't in any way shape or form.
5) I broke one, now I'm not saying this is that bad...I break most anything, but still...
6) Suspension design that I could have put together in 7th grade.
8) Funky sizing
9) Too long of chainstays...close to 17.9" long

Why I think the GT will rock...
1) Stiffer pivot (I-drive) interface=the bike will rail
2) 9+" of bump loving travel
3) Something besides an overplayed, non bump eating platform to isolate pedaling forces
4) Similar BB Height but 2" more travel=Better handleing just by the numbers
5) Still able to jump the bike like a single pivot...
6) Chainstays 1" shorter

Yeah man stoked to hear your getting a 05, seriously mint! That one is a med, im about 5''8 and it feels about right for most stuff with the seat right down haha, its quite long, tonnes longer than my old foes mono, but feels way better, just easier to move round and throw the bike and stuff.
The idrive and fox rules man, **** it pedals amazingly and always feels fast, smooth and floaty, and super silent, steath bike!
The bb height on mine is at 14inches and feels sweet

DHi's rock, and dont let anyone else tell you otherwise(obviously you dont). One of the best DH rigs around...they had one flaw with cracking chainstays which they have since revamped. I absolutley loved the Dhi i flogged around Mansell and Sky Valley.

I hope you don't break this one. I've heard less than good thing about the current state of their warranty dept. Though, I haven't been impressed with C'dale's support either.

NeverSS, didn't you post a raving review about your gemini like 6 months ago? Or am I more drunk that I thought?

Yeah, I just posted everything I wasn't too stoked on about the Gemini, let's not forget...it's STILL A DH bike and I'm STILL RIDING DH...so life aint that bad on the Gemini!

I'm just saying, for me...the shoe doesn't fit. There are people out there that the Gemini would be the PERFECT bike for...aka, lighter/newer riders, women, etc...it's a light bike that puts the game in your hands...you gotta be a ninja to be fast on it.

Nate,

It's not shameless spam unless you post a link. Now I gotta go search. Prolly won't be a buyer till the shoulder heals anyway.
