Try the settings progressive reccomends and ride it that way for a couple weeks, after that you may decide that you like it. The faster you run the rebound the more you'll like it at first but after time you'll find that slower rebound is actually kind of nice.

sic ride. A local guy has a 5th element bullit, he has his set up with the chamber pressure slightly higher than recomended, and very low on the compressin damping. I can probably talk to him tonight and get some more setup details if you need

I do not have a Bullit, but a Heckler with a 5th coil and I second the opinion above. SC's recommendations for chamber pressure felt very soft. In order for my 5th to feel right I had to set the chamber pressure at the very top of the range they supplied.

Good luck

That would be great! I started with the recommended set up and it just didnt feel right. I just set the chamber pressure more than what was recommended. Feels alot better. Doesnt feel right yet but Ill keep playing with it. The shock that is! Thanks for the help

Super sweet.

But relatively inexpensive?
Sorry, I was refering to the frame. Most of the componants came off my Karpiel Armeggeddon. I only paid $900 for the Bullit compared to the $2800 I paid for my Karpiel 3 years back.

OK, sorry it took me so long here are his settings. For reference, he's running a large 03 bullit, with the 5th element, and a Z150 fork. He's 175 pounds. We do mainly hard trail riding with it, and the occasional shuttling. No drops bigger than 5 feet

325 Spring, cranked down 2 or 3 full turns.

130 PSI in the chamber

The number means the number of counterclockwise turns from the maximum clockwise setting.

rebound 3.5
ending stroke 1
beginning stroke 3
volume 6

It rides pretty well. Feels prettty lively compared to some of the other 5th elements I ridden. PM me if you want his email address, he'd be more than happy to discuss it with you further.
