Sorry, I have to get my kicks in here, because my original thread got closed.

Haha, that bike is sick bro. Why did you monarch over dhx?
I only need to thank my friend aaron for buying my bottlerocket and some parts. I didn't get any of this stuff for free, but I got a healthy discount on the monarch from my sponsor.

Tony, I didn't keep the DHX because I don't approve of a shock that requires air to change the dampening curve, and blows through the travel constantly.

If the monarch doesn't work out I'll go with a vivid and Ti spring.

Why did you opt for delrin reducers instead of the correct sized dropouts?

Not trying to detract from the bike, its gorgeous. Just curious.

love the bike, don't really dig the green. maybe if you had more, like a seatpost/stem/bars or something...it's like just not enough, and therefore too much.

I am jealous though...would love a playbike like that for all the SS style courses that are being built.

The bike didn't come with the reducers for 12-10mm. I was in a pinch and needed a way to properly secure the rear axle. I got the frame yesterday and my buddy turned them on his lathe last night before I built the bike up.
I'll be "durability testing" them at Diablo tommorrow and sunday

I hear ya about the green. My BR was raw with green and white decals, so it worked on that bike. I'll need to get some custom intense decals or something... I already had the stuff so I used it.

Cool. I figured you were probably in a pinch. FWIW you can get standard size dropouts from Intense (not reducers) but I have heard that they are pricey.

Nope.

The thread closing was a bit of a joke though.

Id like to thank Transcend for closing that retarded thread:rofl:
AN now back to the the actual subject of this thread...nice SS an nice finish.
I always thought the raw finish makes bikes look no fuss an ready for business

thanks everyone. There is something wrong with the shock though. Took it for a beatdown after work and I can't get the rebound slow enough. Also, when I got it the air fill valve core was overtightened and I couldn't put air in. fixed that but I don't know what is up with the rebound. It's fine on smooth stuff and jumps but felt a little too much like a pogo stick on the XC loop. Rock shox will get it sorted out next week, it's cool I still have 3 other bikes to ride while it's out for service. But for this weekend, I'm using it as is. Just on the jump lines and stuff.
