yeah, the corvair business wins him demerits in my mind. but i still voted for him last time, and will this time. why? because he's (apparently) more principled than the big party candidates, while not being (apparently) insane like the libertarian candidate, harry browne

:D

i agree with tenchiro's sentiment that "Personally I would rather give my vote to a candidate that I respect, even if I know they have no chance of winning than vote for the lesser of two evils" btw. :thumb:

LARRY KING doesn't want a three party system... though i can't remember why.

my understanding of NADER is that he is actually right wing.... however those that call themselves on the right are typically trying to exploit the system for their advantage. in a sense, the system was designed to work one way, yet it is used to find loopholes and make money off of them.

since i am a foreigner, i'm not really going to bash the US system. seeing your elections though... wow... how could that happen?

it should boil down to the best person for the job. however, since some people typically vote for a party as opposed to the person, inherent failures of the system will be exploited and you won't get what you want.

could NADER win? stranger things have happened.

Beleive it or not, the popular vote does have some meaning, as much as people like to downplay it. Why do you think Florida was such a big deal?
Popular vote has no meaning if you are living in a highly partisan state. I’ve voted for Nader twice as I knew the Republican’s were going to carry my electoral vote regardless. Otherwise I would have been more serious about my vote for a spoiler.
