ok guys. i made a few friends that are into trail riding and the parks and rec people tore down the freeride stuff near my house. so im going to get an all-mountian bike. here are my two choices...

i like the specialized best. what looks better?

The Pitch looks better overall to me. It has a nicer fork and brakes among other components than the GT, but the GT has a better rear shock. The Pitch has a slacker head angle than the GT which will make for much better descending.

can you pony up for the Pitch Pro - that's the clear winner of the two in my book. the Specialized has better all mountain geometry and a better component group. However the standard Pitch doesn't have a great rear shock - you'd be better to pay the extra bones now to get the better bike.

im riding a hardtail right now so ANY rear shock works for me...

The Specialized is a great bike with a nice build, just be warned it rides a bit like a limousine.
