There are a good number of Hollowpoint riders and fanatics over on mtbr. I'm sure if you throw a post up over there Nate or someone will reply back to you.

Oh... about the linkage, I believe that they used the "updated" '03 linkage on the '04, but with a newer rear triangle that gives more tire clearance.

I talked my dad into getting one on blowout from supergo. I got some ride time on it. He likes it cause he is coming from a hardtail and likes the firm suspension. I think I prefer a more active bike. I would probably go with a Heckler, but a lot of that is personal.

This might be a complete anomoly, but we got the bike home and noticed it was cracked. It seems one of the hamfisted goons that Supergo hires as mechs overtightened a bolt and broke the upper shock mount on the swingarm. Just something to look for.
Also, the fork on the expert is poo.

i certainly love mine, it is perfect for xc and enduro applications, i have the expert and it can still hammer up the hills like a hardtail, it is a little long on the top tube so size yourself correctly using measurements not just the seat tube height, i'm 6'2" and went for a med which is fine for me, but i don't see to many people under my height going for this even though the seat tube length is 19"

it really feels at home on the descents and most of all it loves to pop up and over rooting and rocky sections, its not an XC race bike obviously but it's light enough (mine is under 28lbs with hutchinson scorpions)

it is fairly active, but not like a single pivot, but then again you don't get the pedal induced bob either, when you stand up and hammer the pedals it seems to sink and settle into its travel and then not move at all as you hammer the uphills or sprints

hope that helps
