got a good tip from carl "banana man" young via john lawlor in the last issue of _dirt_ i read. if you are running lock-on grips (and at this point, who isn't?), loosen the grip clamps a bit and slide them inward. take a 20 euro cent coin, lay against the bar end, adjust the grip and tighten.

voila.

I bet you could get some at any bank, or if you live near a large airport I am sure someone there does currency exchange.

Shotgun shells are way cooler. Living so close to Reno, I find quite a lot of them on xc rides. I don't remember which caliber fits the best though.
