Ok, we will be installing some "new and improved" company software that is going to require updating from some company from Redmond. The boss is supremely confident that there will be massive failure, on all sides. That being from Microsoft and what our company produces. Most of our computers are running XP Pro, but 2 are running win 2K Pro. I know XP has restore points. My question is does Win 2k have them also? I looked on my computer, but I didn't find one.

Best way to do an implementation when you are unsure would be a product such as Acronis.

The "Home" version is inexpensive, and will restore your computers to the original state if something goes wrong. The nice thing about it is if you only need one file such as a data file, you can mount the image, or the backup, and get the individual file(s) with out any need to do a full restore.

Just one method of back up and restore options.
