My trusty old Devinci Remix is showing signs of its age and I'm looking at changing it as soon as possible. Since I changed a lot of parts on it in the past year's, I'm considering changing only the frame and transferring my parts myself. Since the spec of the frame I'm considering are a lot different from those of my current frame, I'm wondering how my comfort and pleasure of riding it will be affected...

Here's the specs of my current frame (devinci Remix) witch I like a lot and I'm comfortable on it:

Size: small
Seat tube: 16.5
Seat angle: 72.8
Head angle: 67.3
Top tube (horizontal):22.2
Chain stay: 16.9
Wheel base:43.5
bottom braquet height: 14.1
stand over height: 28.7
head tube:4.7

And the specs of the new frame I'm considering in small and Medium:

Size: small
Top Tube (horizontal): 22.75
Head Angle: 69.00
Seat Angle: 72.75
Chain Stay Length: 16.85
Center-to-Center: 12.80
Center-to-Top: 16.50
Head Tube Length: 4.00
Wheel-Base: 43.20
BB Height: 13.25
Stand-over: 27.57

Size: medium
Top Tube (horizontal): 23.25
Head Angle: 69.25
Seat Angle: 71.75
Chain Stay Length: 16.85
Center-to-Center: 12.65
Center-to-Top: 19.25
Head Tube Length: 4.50
Wheel-Base: 43.20
BB Height: 13.25
Stand-over: 29.17

I got no idea what "center to center" and "center to top" refer to, i you know, I'd really like that to be explain to me.

Also, the head angle is a lot different from my current frame, how this will affect the "feeling" of the bike?

I mesure about 5'6" with a 31" inseam (Not easy to mesure on my own:rolleyes:)

Am I on a good way to my new frame or am I looking at something I shouldn't buy 'cause it's not the right one for me?

According to Devinci, I'm right on the edge of a small or medium frame from them so I'm hesitating between a small or a medium for my new frame... I believe I should go with a small one but I'm really not sure...

Thank's a lot for your help!!!

don't make me kick your ass
Center-to-center is the measurement of the seat tube from the center of the bottom bracket to the center of the top tube where it connects to the seat tube. Center-to-top is from the center of the bottom bracket to the top of the seat tube where the seat post collar is.

Visuals work best.

This is the frame I recently purchased, size medium. I have the same measurements as you, and this fits me well with a 150mm fork on the front. It climbs very well, and fells exceedingly well balanced.

Thanks Paul, That gonna help....

When you say:

"I have the same measurements as you"

Do you say your about 5'6" too with the same inseam as me? Just to be sure, me and my english....:p

And do you have a link to the specs of that frame?

Thanks again!!
