what size and or style should i get? I dont really feel like bringing in the dampning rod. Also, this may sound weird, but there is no hardware store in Sun Valley, only like a hour south. Do you think i could order from Marzo?

Go to an automotive hardwear store...if they don't have it then ask them where the closest rubber mfg. is. I found all the seals at this sketchy place called Rubberline...all they make is rubber o-rings and stuff. Good luck.

Yet again, it's one of these small parts that if you pick it up from a speciality supplier (ie, plumbing/industrial supplies) you'll get it alot cheaper and alot quicker than you would from a bike shop.
As much as I promote buying through bike shops, there's so many little things that can be sourced elsewhere.

Hmmmm. That seems unwise. Little chunks of rubber floating around in fork oil, being sucked into cartridges...

If you were at a race or on a trip and couldn't be bothered at the moment, for a few runs, whatever...but you don't think it's smart to "go after them?" Just to have them out of your fork, if not to recover and re-use them?

I'm a pansy, I guess, but things like that would bother me...

heh, missed that part. He doesnt deserve to have a nice fork like the Shiver; nothing like getting stupid lazy on a 1000$+ fork.

Could be worse though, he could have dropped an allen key in there.....

Bah. He should just dump the internals, pack it full of position-sensitive grease, and call it a day.

400 dollar fork. i actually think i lost them when i took the caps off, but i have other things to worry about, they might be in there. this phone number must be new on their web site, because i have tried to find it before..maybe im just bad at the internet.?

EDIT: yeah, i have no idea where you found the phone number after just looking for it.
