I have a 2001 Santa Cruz bullit with an older wheelset on it right now. Front is set up for disc but rear hub is not. I dont really have the funds to change bike over to disc right now and I am looking for a good wheelset that can take a pounding. I am around 240lbs and 6'2" and dont want to be busy fixing wobbles and rims that need to be trued very often.
Im not sure where to start but I would just love a good heavy duty wheelset but I have a couple questions. I have a 8spd cassette on the back and need advise on what to purchase. Mainly I ride street and trails but no big drops. BUT I would like a heavy duty bike that won't fail me if I decide to take a drop on a whim. The front fork is a bomber Z1 2001 if that helps in any way. The rims are Mavic M400 rear and M138 I think front.
