So Im looking to buy a new bike, Ive never owned a decent DH/FR bike. Im looking for some suggestions on a good starting bike. Ive used my friends 03 VPS drop a few times, I liked how the bike was bulkier because im 6'0 235lbs, but at the same time I didnt like how clunky it was didnt seem smooth to ride. Maybe it just wasnt tuned/setup properly. But anyways any suggestions would help for a good sturdy bike that would work well for me for light DH/FR stuff.

as far as what bike to choose, there are many factors, mainly dh? mainly fr? budget? look in the classifieds on here depending on how much you can spend
also what are your lbs like?
