hey,
i have maxxis mobsters on my rockey mt. and they are sweet but im looking to get new tires. im kind of new to dh so i dont know that much about dh tires. i have been looking at the wtb timber wolves and the maxxis high rollers, both in 2.5' wide. do any of you know of some other well performing dh tires? or is there any down sides to the tires im looking at? i need some advice!

Minion F and R in the SRY for a lot of DH and Minion F & R in the 60D if you do a lot of riding uphill.

Not to spam but I have a lot of Minions and Highrollers for sale in the Buy and Sale under tires.

 Hoigh Rollers are sick for all kinds of conditions, this Year form Big Bear to Durango I had nothing but traction and fast rolling thanks to the H.Rs......Try 2.5s all around or for crazy courses (N*) try a 2.7 up front and a 2.5 rear.

2.5 minion f and r on my rig and love them. front is the sr 40a compound and the rear is st. dont ask me damn bike shops. but they are awsome tires and i love them. another option would be to get a hr rear and minion front i think that a lot of people like that setup better than the minion f and r.

and if you dont feel like dropping 100 dollars on a set of tires. look for a 2.5 or bigger tire with good knobs on the outside for excelant cornering, and also you need medium to huge knobs in the middle of the tire for when the trail gets kinda wet. just a few things to look for but stick with maxxis you always get what you pay for.

I'm running the Minion F&R ST and I'm very happy with the performance. The only bad thing is the ST compound wear down quicker in dry conditions so I'm changing the rear to a Highroller and joining the band wagon.
