I purchasing a coat for Aubrey in size 6, would that be equal to a size SMALL?

it really dpends on the company.... call them ask them how the sizes are... for the most part Marcy is a "small" usually the size 4 is good, but with some its a 6. Marcy is tall so with a she can get away with a size 6 if she had to, it wouldnt look really big on her. it might on a shorter person.

As everone else says - it depends. My wife is a "small" - but most small jackets have arms that are too short for her. So she gets medium jackets/coats.
