I remember being glued to the TV set for all the Mercury, Gemini and Apolo space shots. Those words: "Houston the Eagle has landed" brought such joy and awe. They were later eclipsed by his "One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind"

Neil Armstrongs life is not to be mourned, but celebrated. He led a good one, free from scandal and treachery, full of adventure and daring-do. Although not dead in battle, there is certainly a place in Valhalla for men like him.
