Yeah, theyve been out a while. IMO, there are way better systems out there. 1 bud had them, crashed 1x and hasn't worn them since. They move a lot and really don't offer very good protection. I guess theyre ok if youre using it to protect against brush swipes and such. I wouldn't get if you intend it for protecting you from falls though.

PS, get the Roach FR..you won't regret it.

don't get the race lites, like other people said they move around way too much to be any good.

I have em and they just move too much and have too little protection. Now my $50 i spent on them was wasted and i have to spend that again to get something decent.

The Racelite's are good if you trek into an area and carry them since they are a little lighter and don't require you to take off your shoes to put on.

The Race knee/shin are much better suited for DH riding. I've had my older ones for 2+ years and no issues or problems. If they shift around on you you can buy some 661 pads that go over them and help hold them in place. I've seen the houseman? brothers and others with these straps around the shin guards holding the pads in place. That's probably the only downside to them is if they move the move a little bit.

You could always try the TLD/Rockgardn/Roach stuff too. Just about the same if not better quality than the 661 stuff and is nice gear.
