I work in trading bullion, and over the last week, it seems all the stock brokers and investment bankers in New york have been making the rounds to buy gold/silver, they all seem to be speaking and hinting of a new banking crisis... We know its just smoke and mirrors at this point, but anybody hear anything towards the next big move?

(neither metal has really moved much to cause it)

somehow i thought you were a boiler room type, confirmed.
nope, I have to be a people person, street-side store in midtown Manhattan-that said, I'm not happy about having to talk to stupid people all day-retail sucks

Probably right about the worthless money, just odd that the volume of "qualified" people buying it took a huge jump despite any change in value/margin calls or physical supply

Coins, Bullion, and Sports memorabilia, but with the recent gold and silver volatility its been mostly bullion and sports(as gifts), coins have fallen on the backburner a little bit.

Riding past the morgue.
France got downgraded. People bailing out of Euro backed stuff maybe?

Based on the little I've read of this so far it might be coming.

erm lets see: gold and precious minerals always been a perceived safe haven. So what could spur this interest?
eurocrisis
more war talk re: bombing iran leading to 30% drop in oil output..

store level sales is one thing: what's the world exchange prices doing?

Not much, that is what surprised me, it seems like sales from "important" and "qualified" people went up 10fold, i would expect it on a run or dip but its been basically even, nothing that would make me come running uptown to buy gold. They all seemed to think that a big economic problem is on its way, which is something we all know will probably happen, but i wasnt sure if there was a sinking ship and i missed the news
