I am on a drilled DHR right now, 13.5" bb, 64 HA, I like it.
Demo 9 takes a 9.5X3 shock. With a 9X2.75 shock, it would sit at 63 HA and 13.25" BB, 8" travel, according to linkage. However, linkage also says the Demo has a 65 HA, so who knows how accurate those numbers are. I am not sure if there would be bottom out interference. Worst case scenario, put a bumper on the damper shaft to reduce travel, further. I am tempted to try it out.
