New bikes are fun, especially my new Rail

So, I just got my new rail built up and finally gave her a proper dirt ride on Sun.
Let me just say, that this is the most under rated bike I have ever ridden. I'm still fine tuning the setup, but this bike is incredible. Considering what these frames can be had for right now, anybody looking for an aggresive short travel bike, should look no further. I am an expert class racer, but I wouldn't consider cornering or jumping bikes to be my strong points. However, this bike felt instantly natural. I was railing muddy berms without tapping the brakes (my caveat) and jumping rythm sections confortably.

Turner's mistake with this bike was letting the pros race the Burner and leaving the Rail in the shadows.

Sorry for the lousy pics, I didn't have the patients to get out the camera before I got her dirty.

disclaimer: I have a grassroots hookup from Turner.

What length fork? What size frame & how tall are you? If you have got a layback on a large you have got to be like 8 feet tall!

This is a large frame and I am 6'1". The fork is a 5" Z1.
I was hesitant about the 5" fork, but so far, it handles pretty good. I will probably switch it out for a Pike for the adjustable travel.

I tranferred most of the parts off of my DH bike so the laidback post is all I had. I will probably order a zero offset.

CW, I just took it down to SST. I went on Sat too but it was a bit to sloppy and the bike had some setup issues.

The stem is a 0 deg x 70mm that was on my DH bike. I think I'll order a taller/longer one for this bike.

Don't do that to yourself. You are going to endo with alonger stem. I ran my large rail with a 50mm and it was humongous.

I'm tall and I have long legs. I like roomy bikes and since I'm tall, I have no problem getting my weight were it needs to be. I run a 70mm stem on my DH bike. Right now, the bars are a bit low.
