Hey, I know there's tons of foto monkeys on here.
I got hooked up with a Pentax k100D super for christmas, here's my first photos.
Any tips, I know I have a lot to learn, I still haven't made it through the owners manual...

photos with flash look like they were taken with a light that emanates from your forehead. unless that's what you're going for you should experiment with ways to avoid use of on-camera flash. some possibilities: other sources of light (like that pesky sun or ambient room lighting), off camera flash, tripod +/- wide aperture...
